Regalis
What is Regalis used to treat?
Regalis is approved for the treatment of (erectyle dysfunction) in men who experience difficulty having and maintaining an erection.
How does Regalis work?
Regalis works by helping the body allow an increase of blood flow to the penis to create and maintain an erection. After sexual activity is completed the erection goes away.
How is Regalis different from the other currently available FDA approved ED medications?
Regalis is different from other prescription ED medications in that it stays in your system up to 36 hours, versus 6 or 12. This might help in making sexual experiences less planned and more spontaneous.
How do I take Regalis?
Regalis is taken orally. Regalis should not be taken more than once daily. Regalis may be taken with or without food. In some patients, the dose strength and maximum frequency of use may vary. It is advisable to consult with your health care provider/physician for details.
What should I talk to my doctor about when considering Regalis?
Patients with heart problems or who are taking medications for heart condtions should not take Regalis without the consent of their physician. Tell your health care provider about all medications you take and conditions you have, including (but not limited to) diabetes and high blood pressure.
Who should not take Regalis?
Regalis should not be used by patients taking nitrates (such as nitroglycerin tablets or patches) or any alpha blocker other than FLOMAX 0.4mg daily. The combination could lead to lowered blood pressure, resulting in fainting and even death.
Can Regalis be used in combination with other ED treatments or medications?
No. There have been no studies on the safety and effectiveness of combing Regalis with other ED treatments or medications. Combing treatments could lower blood pressure to unsafe and even fatal levels and is strongly not recommended.
What if I am taking other drugs?
ALWAYS tell your health care provider about the medications you are taking (both prescription and over the counter) so that they may prevent serious interactions. Patients taking any form of nitroglycerin and most alpha-blockers, other than FLOMAX should NOT take Regalis. The combination may lower blood pressure to an unsafe level.
