ESPN-Televised Event to Reach Millions of Bowling Enthusiasts and Showcase the City of Spartanburg
SPARTANBURG, S.C. — For the first time in its 49-year history, the Denny’s (NASDAQ:DENN) Professional Bowlers Association (PBA) Tour will be rolling into South Carolina with a national bowling event that will be broadcast on ESPN. The Denny’s PBA Tour event will be hosted at the Shamrock Lanes, December 12-16, 2007, with the nationally-televised finals airing live Dec. 16 on ESPN from the Spartanburg Memorial Auditorium. The PBA will construct regulation bowling lanes in an arena setting to accommodate the expected crowd for this historic event.

Fans will be able to watch a field of 64 of the world’s top bowlers compete over five days of competition for the chance to advance to the ESPN nationally-televised finals, an exciting showdown in which the winner will take home $25,000 and a one-year exemption on the 2008-09 Denny’s PBA Tour. The total purse for the event is $180,000.
